At our home game on this past Friday, we honored the life and legacy of Keyshawn Jenkins. Jenkins was quiet, but impactful touching the lives of the students and athletes he helped. His mother, Dr. Phaniki Jenkins, was honored with a touching wooden box engraved with their photo. We will continue to uphold his name and he live forever in our hearts and schools.

We have a full week of Homecoming events planned for our students, families, and community! On Sunday, we’ll kick things off with our Homecoming Parade at 5:00 PM on Gum Street in Allendale, followed by a week of spirit days and door-decorating competitions at each of our schools. Friday brings the big finale with a pep rally at the high school that afternoon, tailgating at 5:00 PM, and kickoff at 7:30 PM. Be sure to join us in cheering our team on during the game and to hear the Homecoming Court announced during halftime!

Today was college application day at Allendale-Fairfax High School. We were joined by representatives from several colleges and universities including Denmark Tech, USC Columbia, USC Salkehatchie, SC State, and USC Aiken. Our scholars were able to fill out college applications for free using waivers and with the assistance our our college representatives and district staff. We want to ensure that every student in our schools has an equal opportunity for a successful future.

Please join us on Friday, September 11th at 9:00 AM in the AFMHS Gymnasium for a memorial day service hosted by the AFHS Tiger Battalion. They will be honoring the lives lost during the 9/11 tragedy as well as the heroes who cleaned up wreckage and identified persons. This event is open to the community and we strongly encourage our veterans to join us for this program. We we will continue to pay tribute as a way to ensure we never forget.

September is recognized as Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind our students that they are not alone and that help is available.
Throughout the month, Allendale-Fairfax High School will provide students with activities and resources focused on mental wellness, building supportive relationships, recognizing when someone may be struggling, and knowing when and how to ask for help.

September is Attendance Awareness Month and we are excited to announce our district initiatives to encourage our students to be present and engaged, everyday! We are hosting a video contest that begins Monday, September 7th and 1st place take home a $50 cash prize. There will also be a Comeback Cup Walk at our schools to boost student attendance and morale. Lastly, the school with the most improved attendance will be awarded the Comeback Cup! Join us in our efforts to reduce student truancy and increase classroom participation!

AFHS IS CELEBRATING ITS PBIS KICKOFF! AUGUST 31-SEPTEMBER 4, 2026 STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES. IF A STUDENT DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES, THEY MUST WEAR THEIR UNIFORMS.
Our Senior Class couldn't wait ’til the sun came out! The Class of 2027 held a Senior Sunrise on our football field, complete with food, crafts, and games. The class gathered before 6 am to watch the sun rise while creating memories, fellowshipping, and celebrating the beginning of their senior year together. We cannot wait to see what else this class has in store for this year!
