Thank you to Ms. Connell of the Coastal Community Foundation for visiting AFHS to hold an interest meeting with our junior class. We are grateful for our partnership with this organization, as it allows our children to explore several colleges throughout the state. If students meet the requirements, the program offers a $10,000 scholarship each year. We hope that more of our scholars will participate so that they can explore the opportunities they offer.

College Application Day provides the opportunity for our students to apply to various colleges in South Carolina and Augusta, GA free of cost. We invited our Seniors to complete applications with the help of campus representatives from USC Columbia, USC Salkehatchie, Coastal Carolina, Paine College, Francis Marion, Lander University, and the Army. We are grateful to everyone who came out to motivate and assist our scholars throughout the process. To continue College Application Week, some of our students will be joined by our administrators at the CSRA College Night later on this evening.
