This special evening celebrates the dedication, hard work, and passion our seniors have poured into their sports over the years. For some, it marks the end of their athletic journey, and for others, it’s just the beginning. No matter what’s next, we’re incredibly proud of each of them. Our students are hard at work in our Welding CTE class! Students gain hands-on experience with industry tools while learning the precision, safety, and standards that welding demands. Whether they pursue a career or just discover a new passion, we do our best to shape them for the future. We are proud to say students can graduate with a Certificate in Welding under our CTE program!
In honor of National Principal Month we want to recognize Ms. Darlene Hall, our principal at Allendale-Fairfax High School. Ms. Hall has been dedicated to our district for over a decade and leads with pride, humility and passion. She puts our scholars first and cares about their success and futures. We thank you for the countless hours and tireless efforts you put in everyday!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will be having a balloon release prior to our football game tonight at 7:30 PM. We want to celebrate our survivors and honor those we have lost to the fight! Remember it's pink out so we want to see the stands packed in pink! We love when our Tiger Family shows their school spirit and creativity during Homecoming! Several of our students and teachers at the middle and high schools dressed up as their favorite characters for Character Day. Thank you to Ms. Connell of the Coastal Community Foundation for visiting AFHS to hold an interest meeting with our junior class. We are grateful for our partnership with this organization, as it allows our children to explore several colleges throughout the state. If students meet the requirements, the program offers a $10,000 scholarship each year. We hope that more of our scholars will participate so that they can explore the opportunities they offer.
College Application Day provides the opportunity for our students to apply to various colleges in South Carolina and Augusta, GA free of cost. We invited our Seniors to complete applications with the help of campus representatives from USC Columbia, USC Salkehatchie, Coastal Carolina, Paine College, Francis Marion, Lander University, and the Army. We are grateful to everyone who came out to motivate and assist our scholars throughout the process. To continue College Application Week, some of our students will be joined by our administrators at the CSRA College Night later on this evening.

Our JV girls had a tough loss against Ridgeland last night, but our Varsity team came through with a victory!
Strawbridge Studios is coming to Allendale-Fairfax High School in 2 weeks on September 24th to capture memories! Parents, they offer a variety of options at different price points if you want to purchase photos for your own memento. We will also be using these photos to create a district wide year book that will be available for purchase at the end of the year. Students, dress in your best school appropriate attire and don't forget to smile!
Let's keep our Tigers uplifted as they get ready to travel to Wagener-Salley on Friday, September 12th at 7:30 PM. Our boys have made immense progress and we are proud of the efforts and dedication they have showed this season.
