Hiram EM Davis – Choral Director, Allendale-Fairfax Middle High School

Mr. Hiram EM Davis serves as the Choral Director at Allendale-Fairfax Middle High School, bringing passion and dedication to music education. Now in his second year with Allendale County Schools, Mr. Davis is committed to fostering a love for the fine arts among his students. With over fifteen years of experience working with youth in various capacities, he strives to create an engaging and inspiring learning environment.

Mr. Davis graduated from Colleton County High School and furthered his education at USC Upstate, Clemson University, Gupton Jones College, Piedmont Technical College and the American Academy McAllister Institute.

In addition to his work in education, Mr. Davis is an accomplished musician and currently serves as the Minister of Music at New Ashley Baptist Church in Summerville. His diverse background includes eleven years in law enforcement, three year in the medical field and over twenty year in funeral service. 

Mr. Davis believes in the power of music to shape young minds and is dedicated to helping students develop their talents and confidence through choral performance.

Mar’Drek Dunson – Visual Arts Teacher, Allendale-Fairfax Middle High School

Mr. Dunson is the Visual Arts Teacher at Allendale-Fairfax Middle High School, who has a strong love and admiration for the arts and is dedicated to teaching art.

Mr. Dunson graduated from Dillon High School and furthered his education at Claflin University, where he was part of the Alice Carson Tisdale Honors College and joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.

With a strong foundation in both traditional and digital art, Mr. Dunson believe that artistic expression is a powerful tool for self-discovery and growth and his goal is to inspire students to embrace their creativity, develop their skills, and see art as a meaningful way to express themselves and connect with the world around them.

Mr. Khalil D. F. Koger - AFES Music Teacher

Mr. Khalil D. F. Koger is a passionate musician, educator, and community leader with over 15 years of music experience. As the Music Teacher at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary, he is dedicated to fostering a love for music through interactive lessons that inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork. With a background in directing music and a deep commitment to the arts, Mr. Koger believes that music is a powerful tool for student development and self-expression.

Beyond the classroom, Mr. Koger is actively involved in the arts and community engagement. He is the founder of the Faith & Fellowship Community Choir, a choir dedicated to bringing people together through gospel music, and Koger Leadership Institute Inc., which aims to provide fine arts education to at-risk and low-income youth. His passion for service extends into business and ministry through organizations like House of ACE, a business consulting firm, and Kingdom Builders International, where he serves as pastor. Mr. Koger is excited to bring his experience and passion to the students of Allendale-Fairfax Elementary, helping them explore the joy and impact of music.

Travis Smalls - AFMHS Band Director

Travis Smalls is a dedicated musician and educator from Hampton, South Carolina. He pursued studies in Music Education at Newberry College, where he developed a strong foundation in music theory, performance, and teaching. With a passion for inspiring others through music, Travis brings both creativity and commitment to every opportunity in the field. Smalls also enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends. Also as a fall 2006 initiate into Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity inc. Smalls enjoys achieving success in all endeavors.
