ALLENDALE, August 5, 2020 –– Today, the South Carolina chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (SCNSPRA) held its annual Rewards for Excellence program. During this celebration, schools and school districts throughout South Carolina are recognized for communications work each year. This year, Allendale County Schools (ACS) claimed two awards.

More than 100 entries were selected as winners for the 2020 awards ceremony in categories ranging from calendar publications and infographics to videos and websites on the school and district levels. Winners are chosen by school public relations professionals in South Carolina and across the nation. This year, samples submitted by ACS were among those winning entries for an advertisement created by the district that was featured in a local publication and the district’s new mobile application and website.

This is the second year that the district has been awarded for communications efforts by the statewide organization. “It is always an honor to have your work recognized by peers. We hope to continue to do work worth celebrating in Allendale in the coming school term,” said Fateish Graham, the Allendale County Schools’ Communications Specialist.

“It is such an honor to see people across the State recognize the great work Ms. Graham does for Allendale County School District on a daily basis, said Dr. Margaret Gilmore, Superintendent of Allendale County School District.  Her skill set, professionalism, and excellent work demonstrate the value she brings to our district and community.  We are so proud of her.

“I want to applaud all of the honorees that are being recognized for Rewards for Excellence this year and I want to remind you that there will be a time that we are able to come together in person,” said SCNSPRA President Melissa Robinette. The 2020 Rewards for Excellence were presented during the YouTube premiere stream and was the association’s first-ever virtual approach to the celebration as it is usually held in the spring in Columbia, SC.

The Allendale County School District is honored to be recognized by SCNSPRA and bring pride to Allendale.
