meal schedule

Two ACSD schools are experiencing an increase in the amount of positive Covid cases and those who are having to quarantine. Due to the continued spread of the contagious COVID-19 Omicron variant in two of our schools, Allendale-Fairfax Elementary and Allendale-Fairfax Middle School will transition temporarily to Virtual Learning for elementary and middle school scholars starting January 18 through January 21, 2022.

Because the positive covid cases and number of students/staff who are quarantined are very, very low at the high school, Allendale-Fairfax High School will continue with face-to-face instruction. Buses will continue to transport our high school scholars to and from school on January 18-21.

The district will provide virtual learning opportunities to our elementary and middle school students. ALL students should have their iPad with them in order to log in each day as the teacher provides instruction. Students who do not have their iPad at home will need to pick-up their district-issued device Friday morning. Look for more details from your school. Parents who do not have internet access will need to check out a hotspot from the school. All employees who have not been placed in isolation/quarantine will report to their work locations.

Lunch meals for elementary and middle school students will be distributed at specified locations on Tuesday and Thursday. (Please view meal distribution location on district website.) Schools and buses will be disinfected while the elementary and middle schools are operating virtually.

High School athletic activities will continue during the virtual learning period for high
school students. All afterschool activities for elementary and middle school students have been suspended during the week of January 18-21. The DIG Allendale-Fairfax Elementary Scholar Enrichment Academy will move to a virtual platform during that time. Also, AFMS After School Homework Center at the middle school will move to a virtual platform so that students can continue to receive help with their homework.
The district’s plan is to return our elementary and middle school students to in-person learning on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Please continue to receive further updates via our Facebook page, email and school/district website. Thank you for understanding and supporting the district as we try to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
