Youth apprenticeship is not simply a job, it’s a game changer. Apprenticeship programs for high school students combine academic and technical skills with work experiences. It provides the foundation for students to choose among multiple pathways after high school ie enroll in college, enter an apprenticeship program, begin full-time employment or a combination.
The Apprenticeship Signing Day Celebration was amazing. Kudos to Swiss Krono, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, Barnwell County School District for providing opportunities for apprentices. There were 12 seniors and 1 junior represented at the signing celebration. The common goal is to find local talent and provide them with the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom in the workplace.
