Parents and families, we need to inform you of transportation delays that will affect our bus routes this afternoon. We have several field trips and a lack of bus drivers which will affect our schedule. Some students may arrive at their usual time, but you should prepare for your child to have at least an 1 hour delay. While we understand this an inconvenience, we want to ensure our children attending the field trips can fully enjoy their experience. We are working to avoid potential conflicts like this in the future. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Allendale-Fairfax Elementary's character word for the month of April is integrity. Having integrity means being honest, having morals, and taking accountability. Integrity is what you do when no one is watching or even in difficult situations. Watch our April Students of the Month video to see which students demonstrate this strong trait. Our College & Career Fair was a huge success, giving students the opportunity to explore their futures beyond graduation! With over 40 colleges and career representatives our students learned about multiple pathways including enlistment, employment, entrepreneurship, and higher education. Students engaged with vendors by asking thoughtful questions at each booth for a chance to be entered into a drawing. We’re proud of our students for taking initiative and exploring the many possibilities ahead!
We also took time to recognize Autism Awareness Day and Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. Ms. Patterson expressed her heartfelt gratitude to our paraprofessionals for their unwavering support of our teachers and the care they show our students each day. Your work requires patience, compassion, and true selflessness, and it does not go unnoticed! We are so grateful for all that you do, your dedication makes a lasting impact, and you deserve to be celebrated today and every day!
