Congratulations to our newest members of the Senior BETA club. This is an honor that comes from academic excellence. Scholars must maintain 3.5 GPA in order to be eligible. Students must also have good character and a positive attitude to be considered. We are so proud of each of our inductees for this notable achievement!

Allendale-Fairfax High School held a BETA club induction for its' new members. Current members lit candles symbolizing the pillars of the organization; Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service. "BETA club is not just a line on a resume," said Assistant Principal Brandyburg. He explained to the inductees that BETA club represents a charge to service.

Thank you to everyone who participated or attend our Oratory Competition. Ms. Patterson deserves special recognition for organizing and planning this event for our scholars. It gives them a chance to learn more about MLK Jr., utilize their writing and critical thinking skills, and practice the art of public speaking. We also want to thank our judges and sponsors, your contribution made this event possible!

The judges were left with a difficult decision after hearing five inspiring speeches. Ultimately, Jordan Triplett won First Place for his empowering speech. Za'Karie Thomas had a powerful delivery and was First Runner Up. Jordyn Davis gave a motivating speech and earned Third Place. We also want to acknowledge Jayceon Brown and Kameron Dunbar for being part of our program.

In between speeches, we enjoyed a glorious performance from our AFES Dancers. The dance, choregraphed by Mrs. Meyers, was a beautiful tribute to the long journey we have endured. Sam Cook's,"A Change is Gonna Come" played as the dancers gracefully swayed in their red gowns. Their recital was truly mesmerizing and captured the whole audience.

On last night, we held our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Competition at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School. A group of five students each performed original speeches discussing the current climate of our society. The goal was to address issues from MLK's perspective, since he started a fight for freedom and justice that still continues today.

Happy Birthday to our amazing team members celebrating in March! Your hard work, dedication, and positive energy make our district a better place every day. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the family and hope this month brings you all the joy (and luck) you deserve!

We’re excited to share our new district calendar for next year! This calendar was chosen by our community and officially approved by our board. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in the survey and helped shape the schedule for our students and staff. Thank you for being an active part of our district’s decision-making!

Our students experienced the joy of service while distributing food to local families. Giving back helps us build character and strengthen morals. Seeing the gratitude from our community was priceless! We are grateful to be a part of the food drive and to help members in our community.

Thanks to Ms. Phyllis Smart, of The Smart Box, we hosted a food drive at Allendale-Fairfax High School. We provided an assortment of fruits and vegetables, along with water and chicken. Prior to the drive, students packed the goods and gathered in unity to ask for blessings for the food distribution.

We think it's important to uplift our students and staff for their accomplishments and milestones! Yesterday, we honored over 90 students who had stretch growth on their math and or reading assessments. We also recognized our dedicated Teachers and Parents of the Month for their in support our student's success. Students and staff with exemplary performance also received an award for their achievements.

We had a packed house at last night's board meeting! Superintendent Dr. Cave gave valuable insight into what's next for our district. She discussed our upcoming testing schedule, key policy updates, new laws passed, and exciting grant opportunities. Big things are ahead at Allendale County School District! Thank you to everyone who attended our board meeting last night, your support did not go unnoticed.

Our Board/Community Meeting last night was truly special. We had a concert by the Allendale-Fairfax Elementary Steel Drum Band. They performed three songs including a riveting recital of "Don't Worry Be Happy." We are so proud of our students as they continue to grow their passion for music.
